How does it work?

This is a “ride for charity” event. Riders collect paid pledges and bring their pledge sheets and money to the registration tent at Burlington Mall between 9:00AM and 11:00AM. You will be registered as a rider, hand in your money and receive a copy of your pledge sheet. You will then ride a predetermined route of approximately 150 kms through scenic north Burlington, picking up cards at each stop and return to 1371 Snake Road, Burlington for a BBQ, refreshments and a round of poker.

Tax receipts will be issued by the Rotary Club of Burlington North Foundation for all paid pledges over $10.00 and given to you to distribute to your sponsors.

Where does the money go?

The net proceeds will go to Rotary projects including Halton Women’s Place, Spencer Smith Rotary Water Park, The Salvation Army Family Services, and other worthwhile community projects.
Recognition Levels:

Every rider will be entered into a draw and be eligible for several participation prizes.

In addition the top three riders in each of the following pledge levels will receive a gift commensurate with the level reached: (Watch our web site for updates on the prizes)

Bronze        $ 200.00 to $ 500.00 in paid pledges

Silver         $ 501.00 to $1,000.00 in paid pledges

Gold           $ Over $1,000.00 in paid pledges

Tips on how to increase your sponsorship levels:

·        Develop a prospect list of friends, family, co-workers and tell them what you are doing and where the money is going.

·        Carry the pledge sheet with you every day and ask for pledges.

·        Have someone you know pledge $20.00 or more in the first box….it will encourage others to be generous. Sponsors usually look to see what others have given first.

What if I want to support you but can’t be there on the day of the event? You can still collect pledges and arrange for someone to ride in your place. Both the Rotary Club of Burlington North and The Burlington Motorcycle Club have volunteers who will ride for you.
